The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has confirmed reports of zebra mussels in Lake McCarrons in Roseville.
Bridge maintenance work Aug. 26-28 on Pierce Butler Route and Lexington Parkway
Both Pierce Butler Route and the Lexington Parkway bridge will remain open to traffic during the work.
Dale Street closed between County Roads B2 and C Aug. 23-26
Signed detours will be in place using County Road B2, Victoria Street and County Road C.
Work on Rice Street begins Aug. 19 in Shoreview and Vadnais Heights
Rice Street will be closed between Rustic Place and Gramsie Road. A detour will be in place via Vadnais Boulevard, Centerville Road and County Road F.
Hodgson Road closed at Floral Drive Aug. 16-19 for utility work
The road will be closed to traffic in both directions. Signed detours will be in place using Rice Street and Highway 96.
2020-2021 proposed budget submitted to county board
The County Manager has proposed a biennial budget of $741.7 million for 2020 and $763.4 million for 2021. Residents are encouraged to provide feedback via phone, online or in person.
Filing open for municipal and school district offices without a primary
Filing is open July 30 - August 13. A packet of filing information, including materials on campaign finance and voter information lists, will be provided to all who file.

Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health conducts the assessment every five years to identify health conditions and needs of county residents.

Aldrich Arena improvements project begins
Ramsey County’s Aldrich Arena will soon see facility upgrades through an improvements project that begins in July. Construction is expected to last through November 2019. Updates will include renovated family restrooms, LED lighting, and a new roof and fire suppression system.
Discounted backyard compost bins available for Ramsey County residents
County residents can now buy discounted compost bins year-round through the Recycling Association of Minnesota.

Press conference regarding Ramsey County Attorney's Office Facility Dog
Ramsey County Attorney John Choi held a press conference July 2 to announce the addition of a facility dog to assist crime victims and witnesses. Norie, a two-year old purebred Golden Retriever, will provide quiet companionship to adults and children who are victims and witnesses to crime. She is highly trained for the purpose of putting victims and witnesses at ease so they can better participate in the prosecution process and ease the natural tension that comes with highly traumatic experiences.
Two Ramsey County golf courses honored with national award
Goodrich and The Ponds at Battle Creek golf courses were recently honored with the National Golf Foundation Customer Loyalty Award.
