Tamarack canceling summer day camps and programs

All 2020 Tamarack Nature Center day camp sessions have been canceled due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19. This difficult decision was made with careful consideration for the well-being of participants, staff and volunteers. After exploring a variety of program modifications, staff ultimately determined that proper social distancing could not be ensured on a consistent basis and that camps could not efficiently be run this summer.

Tamarack recognizes how important this summer tradition is to the community and are genuinely saddened to have to cancel. Registrants have been contacted and provided with refunds.

All in-person programs, including group reservations and field trips, have been canceled through at least Aug. 31. The Nature Center building and Discovery Hollow also remain closed until further notice.

Despite the cancellations, Tamarack's naturalists are staying connected with the community on all things nature-related through virtual programming. Free virtual programs can be enjoyed from home by following along on Facebook and YouTube.

Fee-based virtual programming will additionally be available to groups. Call 651-407-5350 or email for more information.
