Mounds View Boulevard Improvements

Mounds View Boulevard between Woodale Drive and and Silver Lake Road will be under construction starting in the fall of 2024 and continuing into 2025.

We will be replacing and updating four traffic signals and installing ADA accessible pedestrian ramps. This project also includes the replacement of some minor drainage infrastructure.

Goals

• Replace and update aging traffic signals.
• Improve pedestrian safety by upgrading the existing sidewalk to meet current ADA guidelines.

Timeline​

May 

• Woodale Drive is open and operational as of May 27.  
• Traffic Signal and stormwater work at County Road I is continuing through mid-June.   
• Traffic Signal and utility work is ongoing at County Road H2.   

June

• Traffic signal work at County Road I will finish.  
• Traffic Signal installation work will continue at County Rd H2.  

Traffic Impacts

• County Road I is closed on the west side of Mounds View Boulevard; use posted detours on Silver Lake Road.  
• County H2 is closed on the east side of Mounds View Boulevard, use the posted detours on Quincy Street and County Road I. County Road H2 detour route is Quincy Street to County Road I. 
• Northbound and southbound Mounds View Boulevard is reduced to one lane in the work zone.
