Support and Stabilize
Ramsey County’s seeks to invest across the County’s housing continuum to better support residents and housing providers. In 2024, Ramsey County’s Community and Economic Development (CED) Department began to support and stabilize existing supportive housing partners.
The costs of operating affordable housing have increased, and additional resources are needed. Increased costs have coincided with an increase in residents seeking supportive services. Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA) presents an opportunity to invest in the future of our non-profit development partners.
Support and Stabilize Solicitation
This 2025 pilot program will aim to support and stabilize distressed affordable apartments that serve low-income residents. Developers may use the funds to stabilize building operations and buffer the effects of higher maintenance costs. The goal is to increase occupancy rates so that buildings reach fiscal health. Funds will become available through a competitive application process.
