Dawn Colliander receives employee achievement award
Dawn Colliander, Employee Guidance Counselor 2 on the Minnesota Family Invest Program – Adult team, was presented with an employee achievement award during the Feb. 20 board of commissioners meeting.
She has a reputation among her colleagues as a hard worker who is resourceful, diligent, and humble. She is always praising the people she works with and is seen by her co-workers as kind, caring and uplifting.
Along with her team in Workforce Solutions, Dawn facilitates job placement roundtable sessions. This work requires a tremendous amount of planning, and Dawn always seeks input on topics and presenter ideas to ensure attendees find the sessions valuable.
She enjoys seeing the residents that she works with “grow and gain confidence within themselves to achieve their goals” and this shows in her passion for the service she provides.
Dawn is always quick to demonstrate her curiosity with questions and consistently creates an environment where she makes others feel appreciated for their contributions.
