Oct. 25 proclaimed as Foster Care Provider Appreciation Day
The board of commissioners has proclaimed Oct. 25, 2022, as Foster Care Provider Appreciation Day in Ramsey County.
This day recognizes more than 300 licensed child foster care providers and 106 licensed adult foster care homes that serve over 500 children and 300 adults.
Ramsey County foster care providers open their homes and hearts to our most vulnerable adults and children in need of stability and support. Foster care providers offer not only food and shelter, but also safe and healthy environments that cultivate the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of adults and children.
Commissioners Frethem read the proclamation with county staff offering remarks.
