Join us Friday, August 1 at Battle Creek Park Pavilion for the Okáǧa Summer-Wind Celebration: Dakota Summer Teachings, a beautiful evening of Dakota art, teachings, music, food and community joy.

Okáǧa is the fertile and invigorating Summer-Wind of the South, and we (Marlena Myles & Blue Hummingbird Woman, Artists-in-Residence with MN Parks) are gathering with some incredible guests to honor this season of transformation and growth.

5:30 p.m. – Flute performance & courtship teachings with Dakota Wind Goodhouse / The First Scout
6:30 p.m. – Musical performance by the legendary Jackie Bird
7:30 p.m. – Dakota Plant Walk with Blue Hummingbird Woman
