The Ramsey County Board, Tuesday, April 16, unanimously adopted a fully integrated Climate Equity Action Plan. Developed by staff, community, and key partners the plan aims to reduce greenhouse gases and help community survive and thrive in changing climate conditions.

Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy (R&E), celebrated the completion of innovative enhancements at the R&E Center, a 450,000 ton per year solid waste processing facility in Newport on Monday, July 17. These enhancements, which include a building addition and next-generation technology and equipment to sort more materials from the trash, will support the launch of one of the largest residential co-collection food scrap recycling programs in the country.

The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners sent a letter today to Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher calling out his repeated disrespect and exclusionary practices that most recently involved the sending of a letter that omitted all members of color who currently serve on the Ramsey County Board.
