Jun. 24 Begin absentee voting for Aug. 9 state primary.

Aug. 2

First day to file affidavits of candidacy for cities without the potential of a primary.

Aug. 9  State primary – polls open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Aug. 16

Last day to file affidavits of candidacy for cities without the potential of a primary.

Aug. 18

Last day to file affidavits of withdrawal for cities without the potential of a primary.

Begin absentee voting for Nov. 8 general election.

Preregistration deadline for general election.

Oct. 29

Pre-general election campaign financial reports due (4:30 p.m.) for candidates on the ballot who have open committees.

Nov. 5

Extended hours for absentee voting for general election: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Nov. 7

Extended hours for absentee voting for general election: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

General election – polls open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Certification of filing for campaign financial reports due.
