Board proclaims Oct. 11 as Licensed Family Child Care Provider Appreciation Day
The board of commissioners has proclaimed Oct. 11, 2022 as Licensed Family Child Care Provider Appreciation Day in Ramsey County.
The day recognizes the nearly 400 licensed family child care providers caring for 4,000 children. Family child care professionals play an important role in cultivating, supporting and educating young children in a warm, loving and culturally competent, home-based environment to meet the needs of families.
Commissioner Ortega read the proclamation with Human Services Manager Brian Theine and family child care providers offering remarks.
