Battle Creek Dog Park

Ramsey County is home to four off-leash dog parks. Each of these parks offers a safe, fenced space where dogs can run and play.

Battle Creek Regional Park

Battle Creek is the largest off-leash dog park in Ramsey County. It offers 35 acres of fenced space for active play. The park includes walking trails, play areas, community gathering spots, natural swamp spaces and a dedicated section for dogs that are under 30 pounds. This park is located on the east side of Maplewood. Its large size makes it ideal for dogs that need space to run and explore.

  • Hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Rice Creek Regional Trail Corridor

Rice Creek has 13 acres of fenced space for dogs to run and play. This park also includes paths through prairies, play areas, water fountains and a small area for dogs that are under 30 pounds. There are plenty of shaded areas to stop and take a rest when playing with your dog.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Bald Eagle-Otter Lakes Regional Park

This park has a 10-acre off-leash dog area and includes a footpath, water access and also has a section for smaller dogs. The scenery of this park is a more wooded setting and has a mix of shaded trails and open space that is great for dogs and their owners.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. -10 p.m.

Woodview Open Space

Woodview has walking trails, wooden terrain, a handicapped accessible area and a designated small area for dogs under 30 pounds. Woodview offers a simple option for walks and casual visits. It’s great for small dogs that don't need large running areas, but all dogs are welcome.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. -10 p.m.

Before visiting these parks, make sure to review the dog park rules by visiting Ramsey County’s Dog Park webpage.
