A license is required by any individual conducting the business of an auctioneer in the State of Minnesota. To qualify for a resident license an applicant must be:
- 18 years of age or older.
- A resident of the county in which you submit your application for at least six months before the date of your application.
Application process
The following forms must be completed and accepted before a license can be issued. Forms must be printed, signed and mailed or delivered to our office in person. Notary services are available on-site.

A Corporate Surety Bond for Auctioneers, payable to Ramsey County in the amount of $1,000.00, must accompany the license application. Licenses are valid one year from the date of issuance.
Fees
A new or renewal license is $20.00. Payment may be made by check or money order, payable to Ramsey County.
Renewal
To renew your license, you must contact our office or submit the required forms and fee 30 days before your license expires.
