Public health emergency resources for your employees and clients 

Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health is working with community partners to support closed point of dispensing (POD) sites that could be used during a public health emergency. A closed POD is operated by a private organization for employees, their families and sometimes the clients or communities that they serve. PODs play an important role in an emergency that requires quick distribution of medication to our residents.

During a public health emergency, your closed POD reduces the burden on open PODs to serve all members of the public. Your employees, their families and clients receive the medication in a familiar environment. If you serve vulnerable populations (for example, home-bound clients), you help assure that they receive needed medicines in a timely manner. A closed POD partnership demonstrates your commitment to your employees’ health and safety.
