Junior Golf Lessons
Group lessons for juniors are offered at The Ponds at Battle Creek and Keller Golf Courses.
The First Tee Twin Cities and Keller Golf Course will partner once again in 2018 to offer a junior golf program to golfers of all abilities ages 7-15. Students will be grouped by age and skill level. Classes will focus on swing fundamentals, short game, etiquette and safety with strong emphasis on fun in a positive atmosphere. Girls and boys are welcome and clubs will be provided.
A complimentary 9-hole round of golf for junior participants and one adult guest every Sunday evening after 5 p.m. will be provided during the program.
Time: 8:30 - 10 a.m.

Keller Girl's Golf Academy
Keller is excited to introduce the Keller Girls' Golf Academy - an all inclusive summer program designed for girls who want to learn to play competitive golf. The academy includes private one-on-one instruction, weekly group instruction, private lessons and weekly rounds on the golf course with instructors.

Dates: June 11 - August 10
- On-course play will take place on Tuesday mornings.
- Group instruction will take place weekly. Sessions will last 1.5 hours. Participants can choose Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings through evenings, and Friday mornings for group lessons.
- Private instruction will be scheduled by appointment.
The Ponds at Battle Creek
The Ponds at Battle Creek offers golf lessons to children ages 4-17 in partnership with The First Tee Twin Cities. All lessons focus on fundamentals of the game as well as rules and etiquette, tailored to the appropriate age levels.
Private instruction for juniors is also available. A 30-minute lesson is $40 or a series of six lessons is $200.

This class is tailored for young juniors to learn about the very basics of golf such as grip, stance and aim. Golfers will spend time on the putting and chipping green and practice range and most importantly, having fun. Participants will learn some introductory life skills such as respect for the game of golf. One parent/guardian must attend the first class. Clubs are available if needed.

Bogey level students are taught the fundamentals like grip, stance, posture and swing in a fun way students can understand. The main areas of foucs are the full swing, chipping and putting. The First Tee life skills focus on honesty, respect and sportsmanship.

Par-level students build upon the basics taught at the Bogey level. The fundamentals of the golf swing with a goal of creating a more consistent swing. Lessons focus on the full swing, chipping and putting. The First Tee life skills taught focus on integrity, confidence, responsibility and courtesy.

- July 22-25, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Students continue to build upon the solid foundation of fundamentals taught in the Bogey and Par classes. Lessons cover the long and short game while new topics such as swing plane and course management will be introduced. We will touch on all nine First Tee core values in the Birdie level, with a focus on perseverance and judgment.
