Parents and legal guardians are allowed to visit juveniles. All visitors must present photo identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID, passport, work ID). All visiting from 8-9:30 a.m. needs to be scheduled by phone. Any exception to the times listed below requires the approval of a shift supervisor.

Initial parental visiting schedule

(typically within the first 24-72 hours)

9:30 a.m.-noon, 1-2 p.m., 3:30-4:30 p.m., 6:30-9 p.m.
Monday 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Thursday 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m.-noon, 1-2 p.m., 3:30-4:30 p.m., 6:30-9 p.m.

Sunday 9:30-11:30 a.m. (Pods 500 and 700); 1-2 p.m. (Pods 500 and 700); 3:30-4:30 p.m. (Pods 500 and 700); 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Pod 800)

Parking

Parking is available on the street (metered) or several parking lots and ramps surrounding the building on either St. Peter or Wabasha Streets. Metro Transit bus and light rail stops are also located near the facility.
