Jurors have convicted a 35-year old St. Paul man of recruiting for his sex-trafficking ring at least seven girls and women, one of whom turned him in after she was beaten and left at a hospital. St. Paul sex trafficker promised victims a lavish lifestyle. A St. Paul prostitution ringleader arrested after beating one of his victims so seriously she had to go to the hospital was convicted Tuesday of multiple counts of sex trafficking and solicitation. When 22 women were killed in domestic violence in the state last year, 13 of the alleged perpetrators had previously been accused of abuse, the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women said Tuesday.
