Construction work began Monday, August 29 on an expanded parking lot at Tamarack Nature Center. The nature center will remain open throughout the construction process, however the Birch Lake Regional Trail, located along Otter Lake Road near the main Tamarack entrance, will be close. Construction is anticipated to be complete in spring 2017.
Tamarack Nature Center is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Saint Paul. From Saint Paul, take I-35E north to Highway 96, go east on Highway 96 to Otter Lake Road and turn north. Tamarack Nature Center is located about 2.5 miles on the left side of the road.

Trails are open daily from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes
Trails and Discovery Hollow and Garden are free and open to the public. Please sign in at the main office before or after your visit. Donations are gratefully accepted.
