Policies

All park rules and ordinances apply at Tamarack Nature Center.

Pets

Sorry, no pets are allowed on nature center trails. The Otter Lake Dog Park is just north of Tamarack Nature Center near the Otter Lake boat launch.

Organized groups

Organized groups not associated with a naturalist-led program or facility rental are required to give advance notification and obtain a special use permit by calling 651-266-0360.

Cross-country running

Cross-country running meets and large-scale practices (over 10 people) are prohibited at Tamarack Nature Center. A single running group of 10 people or fewer is allowed on weekdays before 9 a.m. or after 3 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Running groups must check in and out at the main building. In the event another group is currently running, the incoming group must wait until the first group has finished their run.

Bicycles

Bicycles are not permitted on trails within Tamarack Nature Center.

Program cancellation and refunds

Program participants will receive a full refund or account credit if a program is canceled by Tamarack Nature Center. Refunds are not provided for customer cancellations, unless extreme circumstances apply. Please call 651-266-0360 or email [email protected] to cancel a registration.
