One year ago, Keller Golf Course and The Ponds at Battle Creek partnered with The First Tee of the Twin Cities to establish a school golf program as part of their junior golf initiatives. The partnership was recently awarded $5,000 through the Minnesota Golf License Plate Grant.
Temporary trail closure at Vadnais-Snail Lakes Regional Park
A trail at Vadnais-Snail Lakes Regional Park will be temporarily closed starting Dec. 3. During the trail closure, a contractor will be conducting work as part of the Snail Lake Woodland Restoration Project, and machinery will be used to stack piles of invasive buckthorn for removal.

Tamarack Nature Center will be closing at noon on Saturday, Oct. 26 in preparation for its Trick-or-Treat event. The Nature Center building, Discovery Hollow, garden and trails will all be closed. The nature center will open to event ticket holders starting at 3 p.m. Regular hours for the general public will resume on Sunday, Oct. 27.
