The Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps people who have been on the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) in the last 12 months pay for child care. It also provides funding for child care on a sliding scale for those who meet low income guidelines. Funds are available for children up to age 12, and for children with special needs up to age 14.
To determine if a child care license is in good standing, call the Ramsey County Family Child Care Licensing Unit at 651-266-3781. Ask to speak to the licensing worker for the child care provider. The worker can provide basic public information about the license, which includes any history of substantiated rule violations and negative actions taken against the license.
